  • The quotation is strictly valid for 6 months only.
  • If floor is smaller than 30m2, it will be quoted at a minimum of 30m2 rate.
  •  New concrete – Use 32 MPA concrete. The slab will be left to cure for 28 days, without any curing compounds, before the polishing process can commence unless agreed otherwise and stated on quote. Grrr ind will endeavor to liaise with the builder and concreter, in order to achieve the best possible results. Grrr ind takes no responsibility for the following: Aggregate exposure achieved, screed marks or footprints that have been created through the concreting process. Any flaws that develop in the slab over time due to the concrete mix. Any rising damp, cracking, staining etc. These are the responsibility of the concreter. All measures and procedures to be adhered to as per “ Polished concrete for new dwellings “ sheet.
  • The client is aware that concrete that hasn’t been specifically poured for polished concrete may not have the aggregate exposure achieved. Screed marks or footprints may have been created through the concrete process.
  • Clear access and floor area to be free of furniture, stock, equipment or machinery prior to commencement of work by client.
  • Doorway openings to be a minimum of 720mm to allow grinder access.
  • Adequate lighting and 240-volt power with 25 amperage outlet to be available for work site by client. 
  • If a generator is required, the client will supply it, unless specified otherwise on the quote.
  • Water to made available on work site.
  • Provision for rubbish to be provided on site, or client to dispose of bagged grinding dust unless specified otherwise on the quote.
  • The client is aware that the grinding process creates dust and it’s advisable to remove, cover, or partition with sheeting any rooms or objects.
  • The client is aware that when applying sealers the residence will need to be vacated during the curing process.
  • The client is aware that some systems can yellow and chalk on exposure to UV radiation (sunlight). Areas that receive direct sunlight exposure may experience some discoloring.
  • The client is aware that there might be marks on skirting boards or walls due to the grinding process.  Grrr ind will ensure to keep this to a minimum.
  • The client is aware that any cracks that are filled may reappear over time.
  • Grouting is recommended and if chosen it is applied to fill any pins air holes on the concrete surface giving the end product a smoother and cleaner finish.  Note: If floors are exposed to a lot of light it may show some imperfections in the floor, even if grouted.
  • Any additional work, outside of the agreed quote will be re quoted, added and signed by the client.
  • To maintain the concretes look and durability the floors must only be cleaned with a PH stable cleaner and mop.
  • Floors must not be cleaned with bleach and/ or citrus based cleaners as the concrete will deteriorate and stain.
  • Polished concrete should not come into contact with acidic or alkaline agents so consideration may need to be given to which soap, shampoo, cleaning products etc are used in showers, baths, spas, bathrooms, laundries, toilets, kitchens and ensuite areas.

  • Caution: Polished floors may become slippery, especially when wet. Please take care as Grrr ind accepts no responsibility.
  • A booking fee of 10% is required upon acceptance of Quotation.  On some projects - 50% of total on completion of the first stage and the balance on completion of the second stage.
  • The client agrees with the terms and conditions upon acceptance of the provided quotation.
  • In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including legal demand costs".
 

Payment:
To secure payment of all fees due or fees which may become due, the client hereby charges all of the clients interest in real property both present and future, and the client consents to the firm lodging a caveats noting its interest here-under. A booking fee when requested of 10% is required upon acceptance of quotation. Authority to proceed, (written or verbal or any other way conveyed); automatically constitutes acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

Payment Methods: Bank deposits or cash.
All payments must be made within 7 days of receiving invoice otherwise a late payment fee may be applied.
